Photography Workshop Fun
For the past several weeks I’ve been participating in a fun photography workshop entitled, “Come Out of Hibernation, Re-Invigorate the Photo Muscles and Get Back to Shooting!” This 4-session workshop is exactly that. On four consecutive Saturdays we’ve met at various locations and spent three hours capturing images of whatever took our fancy. Locations included Multnomah Village, Saturday Market, Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival and a final session in Portland’s Pearl District focused on portraiture.
Our intrepid leaders are Mark Fitzgerald and Tom Hassler, both respected local photographers and instructors at the Newspace Center for Photography in Portland. This workshop was perfect for me, since I seldom get out and shoot unless it is for a particular project. A final photo sharing and critique session is planned, along with a photo book of the best images from each of the participants. Here are a few of my shots from the workshop.
